Home Hero, a leading brand known for designing and selling top-quality kitchen utensils, began its journey with a renowned set of knives. Since then, the brand has consistently delivered exceptional products that enhance the culinary experience.

Expanding the Home Hero Lineup

In recent years, Home Hero has expanded its product range, offering innovative solutions for the Home & Kitchen. As a designer, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with Home Hero in creating several exciting new utensils that will be launched between 2022 and 2023.

Exciting New Products

The upcoming collection includes a sleek can opener, a stylish salt and pepper grinder, a durable ice cream scoop, an exquisite Japanese knife, and an advanced blender. Each product is designed with functionality, style, and durability in mind, ensuring they meet the needs of both amateur cooks and professional chefs.

JAPANESE KNIFES

IDEATION / CONCEPTS

For Home Hero's inaugural premium knife, my objective was to design a supremely comfortable handle using exquisite rosewood. Through multiple iterations and 3D prints, the final version (on the right) showcases a handle featuring a central bump, enhancing grip and facilitating seamless utilization of the high-quality VG10 Damascus Blade

ICE CREAM SCOOP

CONCEPTS & 3D MODELLING

Currently available ice cream scoops in the market offer similar shapes, with the main distinction being the choice between scoops with or without springs. Through extensive testing, I discovered that scoops equipped with springs produce cleaner and more consistent ice cream balls. Consequently, I embarked on designing a new scoop that optimises this functionality. To enhance the scoop's performance, I focused on improving the grip by encasing the mechanism (including the spring, gear, and wire) within a durable plastic shell. Additionally, for superior comfort and a secure hold in hand, I incorporated soft TPE plastic on both sides of the scoop. These design enhancements ensure an enhanced scooping experience for ice cream enthusiasts

FINAL PRODUCT

This product required a long work on pieces fitting and shape definition to provide the best comfort of use in hand. The product is proposed in two teal and black colors. - Video by @BrandedCo

CAN OPENER

CONCEPTS

The can opener stands as an indispensable tool in every kitchen. As part of the Home Hero collection of new and innovative kitchen tools, I took on the task of designing a heavy-duty can opener that offers enhanced usability and a secure grip, specifically catering to individuals with more delicate hands. To accomplish this, I sketched various concepts and conducted a comprehensive audience test with participants in the US. With their invaluable feedback, we identified the most promising design, which was then produced and successfully launched on the market. Please see below for a glimpse of the final product.
