Fruit Furniture

Fruit furniture is a new model of food display for retail space. Designed for and produced by Le Triangle Mobilier, it is now visible in several supermarkets.

Over the course of two years, I had the privilege of working for Le Triangle Mobilier, a company that specializes in the creation, design, and organization of sales areas such as shops and supermarkets.

The diverse range of activities, encompassing customer demands, bespoke furniture design, and in-store installations, provides ample opportunities to develop innovative furniture concepts that bring a unique touch to the space.

It is in this context that store managers are increasingly drawn to the idea of having custom furniture that can be exclusively found in their sales areas.

When it comes to furniture designed for displaying fruits and vegetables, the emphasis lies not only on durability but also on creating an open and inviting visual aesthetic that facilitates easy movement for customers. The key principle is to craft furniture with slender, refined, and bold feet.

For this new furniture piece, my inspiration came from various sources such as weaving, canvas textures, and even the intricate filaments seen in 3D printing. Laser-cut sheet steel is employed to adorn the furniture’s feet, providing a sense of fluidity and ventilation. Furthermore, incorporating LED lighting within the feet adds dynamism to the overall presentation.
